December in Review

A couple days late again, but I don’t know who I’d be if I wasn’t! Surgery was a big success. Who knew the hardest part of surgery is recovering from surgery? There is a huge list of things I can’t do, but luckily I have a boyfriend and friends who are helping me.

I spent a lot of the month before surgery cooking, finishing up school, working, and generally enjoying the weather. I love a cold, dark Michigan winter. Surgery was a pretty interesting process, and I honestly enjoyed the whole experience. Very grateful these days for family and friends who have been indispensable.

While recovering I’ve been playing lots of video games which isn’t usual for me, so I’ve been enjoying that, although I’m taking a little break to do some reading and other creative work so my brain doesn’t completely melt. I’m even thinking of designing another website!

New Year’s Eve was great. It’s truly my favorite holiday, even if I say other holidays are my favorite. I have a lot of resolutions this year. I hope to complete some more creative projects, spend more time reading and writing, and get back to the gym once I’m healed (I am really looking forward to this, it’s one of my favorite past times and I’m going to make sure I make time for it this semester).

There’s not much else to be said about my month. Just so you don’t feel slighted, enjoy a playlist of some of my favorite songs, which sound especially good on cold, snowy days.

Have a happy new year!
